The U.S. is about to get an extra 5 million square feet of green space under construction

Construction on the National Ballooning Balloon Company’s new $1.2 billion facility in Washington state is on track to begin this month, with more than 5 million sq ft of new space expected to be added to the area over the next year.

Construction on the facility will begin in mid-March, the company announced Monday.

The new facility, a 10,000-square-foot, 10,200-square foot indoor/outdoor facility that is expected to have seating for 20,000 people, will provide an additional 5 million cubic feet of air for the region annually.

The facility will be located at the corner of Capitol Street and 1st Avenue in the city of Everett, Washington.

Construction of the new facility is expected start in late-March or early April, according to the company.

The new facility will add to the existing facility at the U. of Washington, which is expected be complete by the end of the year.

The $1 billion project is the culmination of a partnership between the National Park Service and the Washington State Department of Transportation that began in 2013.

The $1 million, 10-year agreement included a $2 million contribution from the National Capital Area Development Corporation.
