If you’re looking for a place to live and raise a family in the Portland metro area, you might have to look elsewhere.
According to new data from the nonprofit Housing First, more than 1 million Portland households are living in temporary housing.
The figures were published Wednesday.
The data also found that the median income in Portland was $71,737 in December, down 1.8 percent from a year earlier.
The median household income in 2016 was $78,734, according to the data.
In comparison, the median household incomes of Portland households were $67,624 in December 2016 and $73,087 in December 2017.
Housing First found that Portland residents have a median household size of 4.7 people.
That’s the second-lowest in the metro area.
The city’s median household is 3.8 people.
