Posted March 16, 2018 07:21:18 Garney construction workers are the first family to attend a parade in the U.S. for the family’s first official anniversary.
The family was welcomed to the parade on Saturday, March 15, 2018, at a rally at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
“We are honored to have been able to do this for our family and to be a part of history,” Garney’s president, Paul Garney Jr., said in a statement.
A photo of the family members marching through the parade shows their families holding signs with messages of support.
Garney is not the first construction family to arrive in Atlanta for a parade.
In January, construction workers, including their fathers and brothers, were welcomed to a parade and march through downtown Atlanta in honor of their families, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
