Brisbane construction equipment company Cement Works has posted a video that highlights the importance of the ABC’s Job Search.
The company’s video, titled How to Find the Perfect Job for You: The Australian Construction Industry, was released on Monday to promote the ABC Job Search, a new video series on the ABC and ABC TV.
Cement Works was founded in 2010 and has about 20 workers and a workforce of about 25 people in the Brisbane CBD.
“It’s important to be able to tell a story in your CV and not have to worry about the job site being full of red tape,” Cement spokesperson Chris Meech told The Daily Telegraph.
“We are a large construction company, so we’re really looking for someone who can contribute to our local community and our community can benefit from that,” he said.
“So our video focuses on what it means to be an Australian construction worker, from being an apprentice to the CEO of a major construction company.”
If you can’t tell a good story about yourself, what is the best way to get a job?”‘
It’s about being honest’The video’s description for the series is “a story about the construction industry and what it is like to be a construction worker”.”
We need a workforce that’s not just there to do what we need them to do,” the company says in the video.”
For us, the best jobs are ones where we’re honest about what we’re doing and what we think we need to do.
“People want to be part of the story, and we want to get that job.”
